Abstract | The authors argue that what is distinctive about the approach to education and training adopted by the 'Tiger' economies is not just that they invested heavily in education and training in the early phase of economic growth, but the success of their governments in putting in place mechanisms which ensure that the education and training system continuously adapts to the demands of economic growth.
